WLEOA Washington D.C. Trip

It is hoped that you or your agency take part in the nomination process. If schools in your area are involved in a AAA School Safety Patrol Program, we welcome nominees from that group. If you do not have a AAA School Safety Patrol Program in your area, please feel free to nominate especially safety-minded or otherwise deserving student. This is a great opportunity to promote your department in the schools and community.
In nominating a young person, several considerations should be kept in mind. First of all, the nominees should be deserving. We would like this to be the trip of their life. They should display dedication to their duties. They should be reliable and responsible. We ask that no more than two from any school be nominated. Please notify the school that although a nomination has been made, this does not necessarily mean a candidate will be chosen from that school.
If you or your agency desires to participate, please complete the APPLICATION and forward it to the address below. The faculties of the various schools might be able to assist or suggest nominees, for they are closely involved with their young people. It must be pointed out that being nominated does not ensure being invited on the trip. It is therefore suggested that nominees not be told of their nomination in order to avoid disappointment if they are not accepted. The final selection will be the responsibility of the WLEOA Youth Committee. The more information contained in the nomination sheet the easier the task of selecting the more deserving young people will be.
